-Larger framed photograph: At 17, my mother took two photos and overlapped them. A statue of an angel from Puerto Rico , and trees from her backyard. She expressed to me how the sunlight shining through the statue felt spiritual to her. -Framed Drawing: My partner gifted me this drawing. It’s a sweet reminder of love. - Monchhichi : Over the summer, I went to South Korea on FlagShip . It was an unforgettable experience. On our free day, a few of us went to the Monchhichi Pop-Up . -Various trinkets and book: I love to collect things, at home I have shoeboxes full of things like little clay figures and handmade cards. I love to have books on my desk to scrapbook from and read. One of my favorites is my Sofia Coppola Archive Book . Although, I cannot rip out any of those. :) - Lamp : This lamp was is my mothers from her childhood bedroom. I adore it.
Day & Night. Negative Space. Wood, wire, white + black ink, thread, glue. 13 x 10 x 10 in This sculpture conveys negative space through an emphasis of openness. Through the use of star-like icons, the viewer is able to slip from day to night and utilize the space in between. Night is different from day in light, but similar in the way that they are still in the same place. What we feel from night to day differs. Openness allows us to see things fully and without holding back. Speckled Blue. Repetition. Wood, paper, blue + white ink, yarn. 13 x 6 x 10 in. This sculpture conveys repetition through the use of repeated thread and circular paper stack on each other. The use of blue is used to create a dream-like sequence that flows throughout the piece. My dreams are often reoccurring, in similar places with the same people. My memory of these dreams is speckled, like the blue on the side. The beauty of my dreams is a presence that is consistent.
